DOTHAN, Ala. - Houston County School s is hosting the inaugural summer exploration camp, where students get hands on experience with career paths they never may’ve considered otherwise.
Students worked with electrical parts in the automotive class, created poster boards and learning games in the education course and took rifle practice in the JROTC program. “I wanted to be a nurse but I was kind of scared of it, but like the class taught me, it’s not about being scared,” said Haddock. “You’re just helping people and I feel like I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with it.”
