At that point, the number plate, FF8, received the highest bid at RM950,000.Transport Minister, Anthony Loke Siew Fook, took to his Facebook page to announce that the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, has officially purchased the FF 1 number plate for RM1.
He wrote, “This morning , I went before His Majesty the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim to symbolically present the FF1 number plate to His Majesty, who is now the owner of the unique, special number. His Majesty had agreed to pay the government RM1.2 million for the special number!”The Sultan of Johor now owns the highest bid for just one number plate in Malaysia. “For the record, the payment of RM1.
