The Royle Family stars have reunited for a new travel show, which gets underway tonight
The two stars are renowned for their roles in Bobby and Sheila Grant in Brookside and Jim and Barbara Royle in The Royle Family. The legendary actors will reprise their onscreen partnership for Ricky, Sue and a Trip or Two!, which gets underway on More4 tonight.
Ricky and Sue embark on a road trip to three special places, which have shaped their lives for the new series. Sue said she feels privileged to be a part of the show.READ MORE: Coronation Street's Jude Riordan 'can't cope' as he says 'that's it' The 80-year-old said: "Ricky and I feel so honoured to have had shared 40 years on screen together and a firm friendship for all of that time, so it’s particularly special to be taking a trip of a lifetime with him around this beautiful country for More 4. Channel 4 will have a job to do keeping us both on our best behaviour along with the friends we meet along the way."
In tonight's first episode of the three part show, Ricky and Sue will visit Brookside Close, The Cavern Club and Homebaked Bakery. Ricky was excited to once again share the screen with his close friends he said: “Sue and I have had a lot of laughs and a lot of memories over the years.
