Young artists in Canandaigua are putting the finishing touches on a city beautification project.

— it's learning how to do a mural from start to end," explained Stefanie Allison, the program's instructor. "Learning how to prep, learning how to paint, learning different blending techniques. We're all in this together, and it's not just about the paint jobThe project also gives students a taste of some of the area's rich history.
"They're learning about the importance of the history of the fire department, the history of the community, and just being right here in the center of town is just showing them a lot of pride," Allison continued.
