Mabasa is now the top scorer of the league with six goals after netting a brace in the 2-1 win over AmaZulu. This will not sit well with some of the Orlando Pirates fans who asked Jose Riveiro to give the Bafana Bafana striker a chance this season. The Buccaneers have struggled for goals of late and in their last four matches, they only managed one goal and that was against Jwaneng Galaxy. That goal was not enough though as Riveiro’s men were eliminated from the CAF Champions League via penalty shootout.“He is very impressive and the technical team have been watching him. At the moment I’m not really certain, but there is a huge possibility that he might be brought back to the club in January.
For now, Mabasa remains a Swallows player and will continue until January if Pirates opt to bring him back.
