Sydney Airport has warned of flight delays after strong wind gusts forced the closure of two runways on Saturday morning.
Travellers at Sydney Airport are facing flight delays after strong winds forced the closure of runways during the busy Easter long weekend. All arrivals and departures have been operating on the single east-west runway since Saturday morning, while two north-south runways remain closed until the evening.

"Passengers should speak to their airlines to get the latest information on the status of their flights."Although delays are impacting all airlines there have been no flight cancellations. The Bureau of Meteorology reported westerly wind speeds of up to 40 kilometres an hour at Sydney Airport. Senior Meteorologist Jordan Notara warned the wind conditions could pick up again on Sunday before settling in the afternoon.
