Joe McFadden will be joining the hit musical The Rocky Horror Show for a limited four week run
A Strictly Come Dancing winner is set to show off his dancing skills in Nottingham this summer. The 2017 winner of the BBC dancing show, Joe McFadden, will be joining the hit musical The Rocky Horror Show for a limited four week run in the city, as well as Belfast, Southend and Swindon.
"There's a thing that some of the narrators will be doing a bit of drag themselves at the end, with the suspenders and high heels, and the costume designer asked me if I wanted to do it." He joked: "I said I absolutely insist on doing it, that was my reason for me doing the show."Joe added: "Yeah you will get to see my doing a bit of dancing and wearing some high stilettos. Hopefully I won't fall over and break my ankles.
"I'm absolutely really grateful that I got to do it, but I don't think I would rush back anytime soon. It was one of the most challenging times of my life, but also one of the most rewarding." Joe will be joining the cast of Rocky Horror as a narrator on a temporary basis from August 7 to September 2, 2023. The Scottish actor said: "I'm joining at Belfast and I do four weeks initially, and I suppose it will be a case of if they like me they might have me back at some point.
