Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has broken his silence on Amanda Abbington leaving the BBC show. .
Host Alison Hammond told Anton: “Amanda! I couldn’t believe she was leaving as well. I was so upset.” Anton replied: "Yeah, that’s terribly sad because she was terrific! Could have made it all the way to the final.“I thought she was very, very good.” He also hinted that Amanda may be asked to return to the show for a future series.
Confirming Amanda's exit from the competition, Strictly Come Dancing said: “Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. The show wishes her all the best for the future.”
