Strictly's Amy Dowden has two tumours removed in breast cancer op as she issues update
Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has shared an update with fans as she continues to battle breast cancer, as the dancer has now had surgery.
Amy has now told her followers that she successfully completed surgery to remove two cancerous tumours, but has been told to wait for the results. Now recovered from the gruelling operation, she is waiting to find out what stage her cancer is now at. Speaking to The Mirror, she shared: "The cancer is in the lab now, which is the most important thing. The hardest time was waiting for surgery, thinking ‘I have cancer inside me’.“The feeling of it made me feel disgusted, disgusting. That’s the time I was randomly crying, emotional," the dancer went on, as she bravely opened up on the rollercoaster of her journey.
