STRICTLY Come Dancing fans were left delighted after spotting a Scottish landmark during the show’s opening dance.
All 19 of the show’s professional dancers performed to Tears for Fears’ hit song Everybody Wants To Rule The World to start the show.
The opening was shot at both an outdoor location and in the studio and viewers were stunned to discover Tantallon Castle in North Berwick in the background.MSP Christina McKelvie who said: “Amazing opening to @bbcstrictly from the atmospheric @tantalloncastle I was there earlier in the summer, it’s a fab place to visit.”
“What a start to our Strictly Saturday”, said another while a third person commented: “Nice surprise to see Tantallon Castle featured at the beginning of tonight’s @bbcstrictly.”Sat on the edge of the cliffs looking out to Bass Rock, the castle was the stronghold of the Douglas family and dates as far back as the 14th century.
Another fan said they “loved seeing the gorgeous castle” while another said it helped the performance to look “amazingly atmospheric”.
