A stretch of Highway 2 will once again be closed Thursday as crews continue fire-mitigation activity near the road, the Washington State Department of Transportation announced.
Starting at noon on Thursday, Highway 2 will be closed in both directions between mileposts 46 and 49. WSDOT said the goal is to reopen the highway at around 5 p.m., but reminded drivers that it is an “active situation so the closure could go longer.” ‼️ US 2 ANNOUNCEMENT: Beginning at 12 p.m. tomorrow crews will again close US 2 btwn MP 46-49 for fire mitigation activity near the road.
