THE Department of Labor and Employment Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma and National Electrification Administration Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda presently signed a memorandum of agreement on the DoLE-NEA Joint Capacity Building Program for Electric Cooperatives at the Occupational Safety and Health Center in Quezon City on Aug. 13, 2024.
Under the agreement, DoLE will develop training curricula, provide expert resources, and offer technical support in crafting and implementing collective bargaining agreements to ensure strengthened and effective collective bargaining within the electric cooperatives.Witnessing the signing were Labor Undersecretary Benedicto Ernesto Bitonio Jr.
of the Labor Relations, Policy and International Affairs Cluster and Regional Operations Cluster and Alexander Paul Rivera of the NEA's Institutional Development Department.Also present during the signing ceremony were Undersecretary Felipe Egargo Jr.
