Do you have Stranger Things season 4 fan theories? You could be on to something. Says Ross Duffer: 'I’m constantly impressed with how sharp the fans are, and how quickly they’re able to put something together with very, very little information.'
Stranger Things co-creator Ross Duffer discloses how startlingly accurate fan theories are regarding the show's upcoming fourth season. Since its debut in July 2016, the retro-styled sci-fi horror series has continually lured viewers into its Upside Down dramatic flare.
With a relatively large intermission wedged between the third and fourth seasons, Stranger Things fans used the time creatively, taking to the web to swap several interesting and likely plausible theories. For instance, while some claim that Hopper is genuinely dead because his death was never captured on screen, other theories have him traveling back in time, landing in the Upside Down, and emerging in a different time period altogether.
I’m constantly impressed with how sharp the fans are, and how quickly they’re able to put something together with very, very little information. Although Duffer would not confirm or deny any theories sprouting up online, the Stranger Things co-creators' comments imply that at least some of them are likely to transpire. Recent images released by Netflix support this by capturing the return of Hopper, leading to at least one of the two dead-or-alive theories proving accurate.
Stranger Things season 4 is almost the final chapter, with a confirmation that Stranger Things season 5 will conclude the series. However, season 4 is setting up to really tap into its horror genre aspect. That being the case, audiences are in for a dark and scary ride as the Hawkins gang recovers from the Starcourt Mall confrontation with the Mind Flayer and moves on to the challenges ahead.
