The creative team behind AQuietPlace: Day One is in talks with StrangerThings breakout Joseph Quinn for a leading role opposite Lupita Nyong’o.
Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn is reportedly in negotiations to star in A Quiet Place: Day One. Quinn debuted in Stranger Things season 4 as Eddie Munson, the lovable leader of the Dungeons & Dragons group known as the Hellfire Club. Through shredding Metallica's "Master of Puppets" in the Upside Down and heroically attempting to save Hawkins, Eddie endeared himself to audiences and became a fan-favorite before his emotional death during the season finale.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY A few months after his breakout role in Stranger Things season 4, Quinn may have already found his next big project. Deadline is the first to report that Quinn is in talks for a leading role in the A Quiet Place spinoff subtitled Day One. However, a deal has not been finalized yet, as the two sides are reportedly still in negotiations.
Based on the title A Quiet Place: Day One, the spinoff will obviously explore the first day the alien monsters with an acute sense of hearing arrived on Earth. A Quiet Place Part II already provided a glimpse of this day with an opening flashback to the Abbot family attending a Little League game, where they witness an asteroid-like object hurtling towards Earth from which the alien creatures emerge and begin attacking people.
With Quinn and Nyong'o, the Day One spinoff will have secured a leading duo strong enough to rival Krasinski and Emily Blunt from the first A Quiet Place. Quinn has not officially signed on yet, though there is a lot of confidence the Stranger Things star's deal will be finalized soon given he only has one other project on his dance card, Luna Cameron's film Hoard, which is in post-production.
