The “Stranger Things” star also paid homage to Will in the caption of his post. “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought,” he said.
Schnapp previously confirmed Will is gay in a July 2022 exclusive interview with Variety, where he admitted initially dodging questions about the character’s sexuality because he doesn’t want to spoil his arc in the series. “I didn’t know where the Duffers wanted to go with this character. So I was kind of figuring it out along with the audience… Now that he’s gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing. Now it’s 100% clear that he is gay and he does love Mike. But before, it was a slow arc. I think it is done so beautifully because it’s so easy to make a character just all of a sudden be gay,” Schnapp said in the report.
The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is currently the most-watched English-language series on streaming platform Netflix in its first 28 days. The fifth and final season, which stars Schnapp, Millie Bobbie Brown and Winona Ryder, will reportedly consist of eight episodes. /
