The Strand Theatre in Delaware, Ohio, has creatively repurposed its old marquee's light bulbs and letters into unique holiday gifts. Local artist M. Carolyn Jones has transformed the vintage light bulbs into ornaments, with designs ranging from snowmen to reindeer and even a box of the theatre's famous popcorn.
These ornaments are available in sets of three for $95 or individually for $35. The red acrylic letters, once used to announce weekly movies, are also for sale at the Strand's inaugural holiday bazaar for $35 each.BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT The bazaar, located in the side lobby of the Strand Theatre at 28 E. Winter St., opens to the public on Saturday, Nov. 29, with various operating hours through Dec. 7. The historic Strand Theatre, established in 1916, is one of the 10 oldest continuously operating movie theaters in the U.S. and has been recognized for its community contributions and innovative initiatives.
