Gordon Strachan believes Leeds United's slow start in the Championship is a result of their 'embarrassing' relegation last term. The Whites' three-year stay in the Premier League ended with a whimper, with Sam Allardyce's side thrashed on the final day by Tottenham at Elland Road.
Strachan, who enjoyed a six-year stint with the Whites after signing in 1989, still feels Farke's team will be in the promotion running come the end of the season. The ex-Scotland boss feels Leeds along with Southampton are both still coming to terms with the meek nature of their demotion last term.
