It was the second attempt to convict Wray after a mistrial in August 2021 because the jury could not reach a verdict.
On Oct. 22, 2020, Wray and Dee’Arius Reese, 20, reportedly got into an argument in the walkway leading up to a home on the 1200 block of McMillan Circle in the Joy Park Homes neighborhood in East Akron. Officers found Reese inside an apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene, according to police.More crime-related content on cleveland.com
