After a couple of rounds of rain and some snow, southcentral Alaska gets a break, as does much of the state. A new storm will impact the Aleutian Chain starting Saturday night, and moving to mainland west coast by Sunday.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Hilltop Ski area in Anchorage opened up on Friday! The snow may have been a bit on the soft side due to the warmer temperatures, but it was hard to beat the enthusiasm showing up on the slopes! Snowboarders and skiiers enjoyed the in-town snow treat on a Friday evening.

The Jetstream location has aided in the transport of these low pressure systems that have brought rain and warm air. A new storm will impact the state starting Sunday. And in advance of the storm’s arrival, warnings, advisories and watches for snow, gusty winds and a possible influx of rain/freezing rain.
