Storm Darragh is set to bring major disruption to Scotland over the coming days. The weatherfront is predicted to batter the country with wind and rain as we approach the weekend.
It is just one of several warnings issued by the national forecaster for the next few days. The most recent alert is for rain, with large parts of Scotland set to be hit by downpours starting tomorrow. It stretches from Islay in the Inner Hebrides off the west coast, across central Scotland and up towards the North East, with the cities of Stirling, Perth, Dundee, and Aberdeen all within the warning zone.
Speaking about the impact of Storm Darragh, Met Office Chief Meteorologist Neil Armstrong said: “A spell of strong winds will affect parts of northern Scotland from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday morning. Winds will initially be south or southeasterly, but turn westerly during Thursday morning.
