Changes arrive on Sunday as a strong storm system pushes into North Texas. Sunday will start off dry with mostly cloudy skies. Scattered showers will develop by Sunday afternoon with a few rumbles of thunder possible. The main event arrives Sunday evening into Monday morning with numerous showers and thunderstorms expected. Storms could turn severe with the primary threats of brief heavy rainfall, large hail, flash flooding and some tornadoes.
Cooler air filters into the region by Wednesday due to a reinforcing cold front. Expect highs into the upper-50s to lower-60s. Low temperatures will fall into the 30s and 40s. Frost could be possible for some during Thursday and Friday mornings. Mostly cloudy with a 40% chance of scattered showers in the afternoon. Better chances for showers and thunderstorms arrive by the evening. Some storms strong to severe. High: 75. Wind: SE 10-15 mph.
