Tom Reindel was announced as the new head coach for Hunterdon Central.

Reindel had spent the prior decade coaching at West Morris, where he led the Wolfpack to two sectional championships and three appearances in the Morris County Tournament final. “In my opinion, over the last 25 years, you’d have a hard time finding a more accomplished public program in New Jersey than Hunterdon Central,” Reindel said. “I am honored to coach this team and try to carry on the tradition.” Reindel compiled a 142-105-1 record at West Morris. The program went 20-11 last year, finishing No. 16 in the NJ.com Top 20 following a run that put the Wolfpack in the Group 2 state finals. The Red Devils went 17-7 last year in the always-competitive Skyland Conference-Delaware Division, which houses state powers like Bridgewater-Raritan, Immaculata, Ridge, North Hunterdon, and Hillsborough. “I couldn’t be happier for Tom. We go back a long way and he’s a great coach and a great fit for this program,” Cuozzi said. “Our players are in great hands and I wish him the best of luck as he gets started.” Reindel is taking over for a Red Devils squad that has reached the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament championship in three of the last four campaigns.PJ Potter has been with the high school sports staff at NJ Advance Media since 2021.
