Rising crime rates at a Spring Branch self-storage facility are raising concerns for local businesses and residents.

The Houston Police Department's Differential Response Team is investigating crimes at the business complex and self-storage units at 9025 Ruland Road in Spring Branch . Jordan Leason, Owner of Houston Strength, says he had no issues with his gym location for seven years but that changed a few months ago when people began living in some of the storage units. He says his staff doesn't feel comfortable coming to work and he feels unsafe at night. He must call the police daily.

Michael Fuqua says he's had a storage unit at 9025 Ruland for a decade and discovered a burglary when he visited on Monday. A burglar gained entry through an adjacent unit and stole firearms and other valuables. Ahmed Raghe, Owner of Motor Village Realty, says people living in the storage units are driving away business by stripping cars and stealing parts.
