There’s bipartisan support for a police reform bill on Capitol Hill, but the House and Senate disagree on the details. House Democrats are debating a bill that would ban chokeholds, including the maneuver used by Derek Chauvin in Floyd’s death, and no-knock warrants in drug cases, as was used in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky, in March, and increase police accountability, among other reform measures.
