Human Rights Watch has published a report highlighting glaring failures with the Windrush compensation scheme which it says 'violating the rights of many to an effective remedy for justice'.

She was initially made a low offer which she refused. By the time the second offer came in - much higher despite no extra evidence being submitted - Caroline had passed away.
Charlotte has lodged two complaints with the parliamentary ombudsman over her parents' treatment - but they can only make a recommendation back to the Home Office, so she is not feeling positive. As well as calling for a neutral body to take over the scheme, they said there should be independent oversight in the interim and an independent appeals process put in place.
