Stool-based tests for colorectal cancer screening show no significant difference in detecting advanced neoplasia overall, but for advanced serrated lesions specifically, the multitarget stool DNA test outperforms the other tests.Selecting the most appropriate stool-based test for recommended CRC screening for average-risk individuals is challenging.

They included 302 individuals who met the"average risk" criteria and had documented follow-up colonoscopy within 12 months of a positive stool-based test.
