California taxpayers who have not received their $1,050 paycheck, only need to wait just under two weeks for the final wave of the Middle Class Tax Refund to be paid out.

The payments, which have been issued to eligible California residents since October of last year, goes to taxpayers who filed their 2020 taxes by Oct. 15, 2021.The final wave of payments, which will be paid to all recipients by Feb. 14, will be made in the form of a debit card and will be for recipients who have changed their address since filing their 2020 tax return, according to California's Franchise Tax Board.

In order to receive the full payment, joint filers must make less than $150,000 after an adjusted gross income in the 2020 tax year. However, couples who make more than $150,000 would still receive a refund, albeit a smaller one. The least amount an earner can be awarded is $200 for single filers who make up to $250,000, if they have no dependents.

Additional information on the refund can be found by visiting the California Franchise Tax Board's website or by calling 800-542-9332. But the tax board recommends recipients allow up to two weeks to receive their debit card in the mail. A total of 31,650,087 California taxpayers and their dependents have benefited from Middle Class Tax Refund, with over $9 billion being issued to recipients from these payments as of Jan. 13.
