Still no professional league, but Spar Proteas ready for World Cup challenge
"One thing that is sad is that we still do not have a professional league with the world cup just around the corner," Molokwane said during the launch of the Spar Proteas' Netball World Cup kit in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, on Wednesday.
She told City Press:"Even though we continue to do well as women in sport, we are not getting the support and promotion we deserve in terms of leagues being set up. It's sad to see." "It [the kit] has so much significance of who we are as South Africans, as it has the coat of arms. The South African flag is included, and most importantly, it shows how diverse and united we are as a country.""This kit being revealed today also gives the girls courage to say the Cup is here, it's happening and it is happening on our soil on our turf, on home ground and this is how we will look representing our country and we are proud.
