The Cowboys even posted a safety when defensive end Sam Williams blocked a Rams punt through the back of the endzone for two points.
Dallas started the day with what appeared destined to be a three-and-out. But a Rams penalty during a third down sack of Prescott gave Dallas a fresh set of downs, and the Cowboys promptly took advantage, driving 75 yards in 10 plays, capped by a Prescott touchdown pass to tight end Jake Ferguson kick off the game's scoring.
The Rams responding by mounting their most promising offensive possession of the afternoon on their first possession, driving 60 yards in 10 plays to post their only points of the half on a Lucas Havrisik 33-yard field goal.First up, a nine-play, 35-yard drive set up a 58-yard Brandon Aubrey field goal. That was followed immediately by Bland's interception returned for a touchdown on the first play of the ensuing Rams possession.
