, Stevie provided an update on how she’s doing during her concert on Monday in Atlanta. Specifically, Stevie thanked Taylor Swift for one of her more recent songs that helped her process the loss of Christine.Stevie and Christine were the sole two women in Fleetwood Mac at its height in the mid-1970s, though the lineup had previously and would continue to change.
“Thank you to Taylor Swift for doing a favor for me, and that is, writing a song called 'You're on Your Own, Kid,'" Stevie said at the concert, according to the video.album, which Taylor dropped last year. The song details a yearning for love only to realize you’re left all alone. "That is the sadness of how I feel,” Stevie said of the song’s message and how it relates to Christine’s death, noting she and her former collaborator “weren’t phone buddies.”"We'd go back to Fleetwood Mac, and we'd walk in and just be like, 'Little sister, how are you?' Stevie said. “It was like never a minute had passed. Never an argument in our entire 47 years. Never. So when it was the two of us, the two of us were on our own, kids,” she said.
