Cleveland bounced right back to tie the score, 1-1, on three singles and a ground out in the first against Zack Littell. Singles by Kwan, Kole Calhoun and Ramon Laureano loaded the bases. Gimenez sent a squibber down the first baseline for the second out, but Kwan scored. Arias pushed the lead to 4-1 with a two-run homer in the fourth. Arias’ ninth homer followed a leadoff single by Brennan. When Naylor followed with a double to left center it appeared Littell was in trouble, but he retired the next three batters, including striking out Jose Ramirez to end the inning.
Raley, who went to Lake Erie College in Painesville, singled to start the fifth. Taylor Walls followed with another single before Bethancourt homered to left to tie the score, 4-4. It was the 15th homer Allen has allowed this season.
