It seems everyone is spending big in Saudi but Gerrard and Co are facing a local threat with a familiar face leading the charge.

Game-changing Al-Qadisah are pushing ahead in the quest to rewrite the rules of Saudi Pro League – with former Rangers supremo James Bisgrove and Tam Courts on board at the league's most ambitious club.

It seems everyone is spending big in Saudi, however, there has long been a 'big four' entrenched in the country with Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad and and Al-Ahly running the roost. But now Al-Qadisah – housed in Khobar which is only 17 miles from Dammam where Ettifaq plays – are aiming to become the kingpins in the north-east of the country.
