The Warriors' next game is against the Celtics on Thursday

that Kristaps Porzingis practiced with the team and "looked good." Kerr said he won't decide on Porzingis' status for Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics until after Wednesday's practice. Meanwhile, Kerr said the Warriors gave the veterans an extra day off, so Stephen Curry did not practice Tuesday.

He's expected to practice on Wednesday, and Kerr is hopeful he will be available for Thursday's game. Porzingis has been out since Jan. 7 with Achilles tendinitis. He's played just 17 games this season. Curry has missed Golden State's last five games with runner's knee.It goes without saying that the Warriors need Curry healthy. They are just 6-10 when he doesn't play, and now that Jimmy Butler is out for the season with a torn ACL, it would be surprising if they won even a third of their games with Curry absent. Curry can keep them afloat, but they really need both Curry and Porzingis healthy to be a dangerous team in the playoffs. Porzingis has been incredibly productive this season. To put it into perspective, he's averaging 25.4 points per 36 minutes this season. That's 0.1 more than Kevin Durant. Overall, Porzingis is averaging 17.1 points per game. Aside from Curry and Butler , no other Warrior is averaging more than 12.0 points per game. Porzingis is also an impactful defender, as his teams have been better on defense with him on the court in all but one of his 10 seasons, perJoey was a writer and editor at Bleacher Report for 13 years.
