'He is a really talented footballer.'
Bruce, who made 417 appearances for the Red Devils between 1987 and 1996, was particularly impressed with three of Erik ten Hag’s players after the match.
Harry Maguire was handed a start and speaking about his performance, Bruce told Sky Sports: ‘He’s very, very decent. He made a really good interception in the first five minutes, which was Palace’s only real effort in the first half. ‘He did what Harry does. I’ve seen Harry play so many times likes this where he has done enough, he’s played well.
‘You can see from the reaction of the supporters when he makes tackles. He is the one again. Fair play to him.’
