Maya Hawke revealed that Steve and Robin may have ended up together on Stranger Things season 3, but it turns out it was pretty obvious that Robin was gay.
In the show,If there's one thing we can definitely say aboutis that the show is definitely unpredictable. Each season is full of twists, turns and new monsters that I'm really glad don't exist in new life. Even the characters go through some serious development. Steve seemed like a way-to-into himself bad boy on season 1 and by season 3 he's the father figure that saves the day.
Robin comes out to Steve in that scene where they're sitting on the floor of the bathroom stall. In the emotional scene, Robin explains to Steve that she was jealous of him because a girl she had a crush on only had eyes for him when they were in high school., Maya said that the decision the Robin wouldn't end up with Steve was made gradually."Throughout filming, we started to feel like she and [Steve] shouldn’t get together, and that she’s gay.
“The Duffer brothers and I, and Shawn Levy had a lot of conversations throughout shooting and it wasn’t really until we were shooting episode four and five, I think, that we made the final decision," she said."It was kind of a collaborative conversation, and I’m really, really happy with the way that it went."
Based on reactions to the show, they definitely made the right decision. Robin was a fan favorite this season and so many people were living for her coming out scene in the bathroom stall.
