The SNP leader at Westminster leader said a ceasefire would 'protect civilians, but also to ensure that we have the safe creation of humanitarian corridors'.
Stephen Flynn urged Rishi Sunak to call for a ceasefire in Israel and Palestine and if the UK Government was planning to set up refugee resettlement routes.
The Prime Minister did not say he supported a ceasefire and did not comment on calls for a resettlement scheme. "We fully support the defeat of Hamas and of course the safe return of all hostages who have been taken. So to I hope to we all share the same common humanity of protecting civilians and condemning any acts of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.
Sunak replied: "We believe that Israel does have a right to defend itself to protect its people and against terrorism and ensure that the awful attack that we've seen from the mass cannot happen again.
