BREAKING: Stephen Amell will be returning to the Arrowverse for the first time since 2020. He will reprise his role as Green Arrow in The Flash season 9, episode 9.
Arrow star Stephen Amell is officially set to return as Oliver Queen, a.k.a. Green Arrow, in a special episode of The Flash season 9. After almost a decade, The CW is bringing one of their longest-running Arrowverse series to an end. Grant Gustin will return for one more season as Barry Allen, a.k.a. the Scarlet Speedster. In 2022, The CW gave The Flash season 9 a 13-episode renewal that will close out its run.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Now, a day after announcing the return of Kid Flash, Diggle, and Bloodwork, another Arrowverse veteran is returning to The Flash. The CW has officially announced that Amell, the star of Arrow, will be back in episode 9 of The Flash season 9 as Oliver Queen. This marks the first time Amell has been back to the franchise since 2020.
“As soon as our final season was announced, we knew we wanted Stephen to come back and reprise his iconic role as Oliver Queen. After all, it was Oliver who originally launched Barry Allen on his heroic path.
