Kaizer Chiefs star Mfundo Vilakazi has been criticised by Stephane Aziz Ki for his showboating antics on Sunday against Yanga.
Yanga beat their hosts 4-0 in the game, with Chiefs’ party being crashed by the Tanzanians on the day. Burkina Faso
attacker scored on either side of the break to lead Yanga to victory. His performance seemed to be a reminded why the likes of Chiefs andAziz Ki doesn’t agree with Vilakazi’s showboating. The left-footed wizard caught a lot of flack from local football supporters for his showboating antics against Yanga. Especially seeing as thought they were coming at a time where Chiefs were trailing.
Aziz Ki went on state that he values progressive football that can help his team instead of showboating. “For me, football is always in front, control, pass, not to jump with the ball,” he explained. “You lose time, and you kill time because, in football, every single second is important. So when you take the ball and stop the ball and do that, you give five seconds to the opponent and everyone will come back. So you will not get the option. You didn’t create nothing.
It will be interesting to see ,however, if the words of Aziz Ki do rub off on Vilakazi. It is clear that new Chiefs coach, sees the player’s potential. What do you think Amakhosi fans? Was the teenager right or wrong?
