Mayor Dent seeks another term, highlighting accomplishments in safety, community engagement, and growth.

Dent, who first took office in 2022, made the announcement Friday in a press release. Today, I am honored to announce my candidacy for re-election as Mayor of Steelton , she wrote. Over the past four years, our borough has made incredible strides in safety, community engagement, and growth. Together, we have transformed Steelton into a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community, and I am eager to continue building on this momentum.

In her announcement, Dent highlighted several of her accomplishments and priorities during her time as mayor: fully staffing the police department, declaring a state of emergency over concerns of gun violence, creating opportunities for families with the 'Steel Down Youth Day' and 'Fun Times in the Park' programs, and improving infrastructure, among other things. As your mayor, I remain committed to continuing this work, ensuring that Steelton remains a borough we are all proud to call home,' Dent said in the news release
