The Steelers have seen Trice take on the new reps he has received with the willingness needed after returning from a torn ACL. The seventh-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Purdue, Trice is just returning to action after missing a full year with that knee injury, and Mike Tomlin has been impressed with Trice’s willingness to step up.
"You know the big thing for him, with each passing rep, I see him just be more comfortable in terms of trusting his health. When you come off a major injury like he has, that’s a component of it as well. He’s also a young guy, so he’s got some growth things, and so there’s a lot of meat on that bone, and he’s covering a lot of ground, but there’s a lot of ground to cover,” Tomlin said.
As for Porter, there is no reason to believe the injury is serious. However, he has missed the last two days of practice with an injury, and so the Steelers are keeping him out with a minor injury.
