A Pittsburgh Steelers has been officially been ruled out of the Steelers' Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers after sustaining an injury during the game.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith has officially been ruled as out for the remainder of the Steelers' game against the Los Angeles Chargers, per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.Highsmith exited the game with a groin injury and has now been downgraded to out for the rest of the contest.Highsmith sustained the injury during the first half of the game and was looked at in the injury tent after leaving the field. He then went into the locker room and did not return to play.
The fifth-year linebacker out of Charlotte has proven to be a pivotal part of a stifling Steelers defense that ranks top-five in total yards, rushing yards, and points allowed per game. The Steelers defense was dominant in their first two games of the season, both wins over the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos.
