The Pittsburgh Steelers have no plans to part ways with head coach Mike Tomlin, despite receiving a call from the Chicago Bears regarding a potential trade. Steelers owner Art Rooney Jr. stated that they weren't interested in pursuing the deal and believe Tomlin is a good coach who can continue to lead the team to success.

At one point, the Steelers did receive a call from the Chicago Bears about a potential trade for Tomlin, but they were never too interested in the deal."We weren’t interested in really pursuing it. And so it was a pretty short conversation‚" Rooney said to KDKA’s Bob Pompeani.
"I think when you look at how many games Mike has won in this league, you don’t win that many games if you’re not a good coach,“ Rooney said. ”I know he’s frustrated like we all are in terms of not being able to take that next step, but we still feel good about him being the leader and still think he has the strengths that he always had in terms of being able to lead a team.
