Our string of heat advisories will continue to close out the workweek. Friday's advisory will be for all of Mississippi Counties, Coastal Alabama plus Washington Counties, and Escambia/Santa Rosa Counties. It will run from 10AM-7PM as values could reach as high as 110.
Daytime highs will range mainly in the low to mid 90s under a mix of sun and clouds. There will be a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms with a 50% chance wet weather finds you. Scattered storms will remain possible over the weekend with both days set to bring just under a 50/50 chance. For most, highs will be in the mid 90s. By early next week a northerly flow will bring in drier air resulting in lower rain chances as highs remain in the 90s with lows in the 70s.
THE TROPICS: A hurricane warning is up for Bermuda. Hurricane Ernesto is expected to approach the Island by Friday into Saturday as either a category 1 or 2. It will continue moving north and will move into the north Atlantic by early next week. It doesn't pose a threat to the continental US.The rip current risk will be low today through the weekend. Always check the flags before entering into Gulf waters.
