The “Pick 1 Primary” is designed to allow voters to vote for their candidate of choice.

FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Absentee, in-person, and early voting within the special general election began, Monday, August 1.

The “Pick 1 Primary” is designed to allow voters to vote for their candidate of choice for the United States Senator, United States Representative, Governor and Lt. Governor, State Senator and State Representative. On the back of the ballot voters are given the opportunity to participate in a ranked choice election for the special general election to fill the remainder of Representative Don Young’s term

Sample ballots for the August 16 election are available online as well as absentee, in-person, and early voting locations. Those voting in person will need to bring a government issued id.
