Congestion in the area is building
A large police cordon has been set up after a collision on a busy Nottinghamshire road. Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on Hassocks Lane, Beeston, at 2.37pm on Thursday, July 27.
Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance Service are all in attendance. According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the A6005 Queens Road East remains closed in both directions due to the collision between Lower Road and Beacon Road. Congestion is building towards the A52 Derby Road, between the Queen's Medical Centre and Priory Island as a result. Further details about the collision remain unclear at this moment in time.A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a road traffic collision at 2.37pm on Hassocks Lane, Beeston. We have Highfield fire engine and the specialist rescue unit from Highfield and a fire engine from London Road.
