Alaska’s lone 50-meter pool will host the 2024 ASAA state swim and dive championships once again — as it has in years past. This year, however, two obstacles stand out like a sore thumb — or in this case — like unused diving boards.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska’s lone 50-meter pool will host the 2024 ASAA state swim and dive championships once again — as it has in years past.under the former Bronson administration, with the main points being the prevention of full competitive access to all lanes and safety concerns.
The Region IV Championship relays were held on the shallow end of the pool, while the alternative was to not use lanes four and five, dedicated to the fastest swimmers, in efforts to avoid the obstructions. Multiple athletes from across the 49th state will be there, some with more momentum than others, including Eagle River’s Lelaina Trembath.
