Arizona State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne discusses recent school club event materials provided by UNICEF and Amnesty.
Horne called the materials in question"antisemitic and anti-American" in a press release. He said that the materials made Jewish students feel unsafe.UNICEF is a United Nations agency that provides humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide, according to the organization's website. It has a presence in 192 countries and territories worldwide.
Amnesty International is a non-governmental human rights organization headquartered in the United Kingdom. Both groups have pushed for increased aid to be provided to civilians in the Gaza Strip after the start of the latest war between Israel and Hamas.
