At UC San Diego, some incoming freshmen who got all As and Bs in high school "college-prep" math classes were found to need remedial math instruction. ): I am surprised that there hasn’t been a lawsuit filed because of so many students graduating from high school who are not even close to meeting the academic benchmarks for proficiency in mathematics required by the California Common Core State Standards.
If these standards were adhered to, California students would be on top in national education rankings.
