Projections show the program was set to cost $1.1 billion, far more than Gov. J.B. “Your priorities are very transparent in this budget. Your unwillingness to work with us is apparent in this budget process and it’s offensive,” Sen. Jason Plummer, R-Edwardsville, said. “How do I tell the people in my district that you care about them? That the people in Springfield care about them? … When this budget does nothing but disrespect them?”
