KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional will contest 245 seats in the six state elections.
Perikatan chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the coalition had agreed to allocate 83 seats for Bersatu, PAS and Gerakan .
“The seat allocation has been finalised. The announcement of the seat distribution will be done at the state level to prepare our respective machineries,” he said at a press conference at Perikatan’s headquarters here on Thursday . Muhyiddin added that the respective component party leaders at the state level will decide on the criteria for the candidates that will contest in the state elections.
Earlier, Perikatan component parties had a meeting on the distribution of seats for Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu state elections.
